Adds much originality to the crowded 3D beat em up genre on the PSX by allowing players to transform into beasts when the meter is suitably charged. Be it a psycho rabbit or a chest thumping Gorilla, the whole gameplay dynamic is shifted in favour of the beasty one, but skill is still required to be able to execute the different special moves that the beast mode dictates. The series development on later platforms is a tribute to its origins.
