A fitting tribute to the retro Ironman No. 28 series. A scientist is killed by bombings in wartime Japan and his surviving robots fall into criminal hands. Ironman No. 28 is the most powerful of these robots and its down to the scientist’s son to control the mega mecha to do good. Sandlot’s remote control robot experience shines through brightly in the tidy control method and the appreciation of the sheer size of Tetsujin is well done. Combat is also thoughtfully executed with each arm able to pummel opponents before unleashing a special assault. Tetsujin can also pick items up: be they his master, a skyscraper or even an enemy to toss with great satisfaction across the screen. Four player brawls are the icing on this retro tinged cake.
