In using the superb roster of characters from ASO, Last Blade, Fatal Fury, Samurai Spirits, Metal Slug, et al, SNK seems to have rekindled the indomitable spirit of old. Great fun to test out the huge array of fighters in this dream title each with its special smart weapon, yet an extra boost is given to the longevity through the Darius style stage selection, each with appropriate character story. The Tate mode makes fine use of the hardware through holding the machine long ways and the shooting action is relentless yet well punctuated with commas for a breather, unlike an enthusiastic Genki review.
