As with most established franchises, Samurai Spirits also removes almost every trace of the well known key characters when producing a new, risky twist in the gameplay as here in Warriors Rage. As such only Haomaru survives the cut excused by the twenty years on setting. Whilst the fluid graphics are firmly 3D in this version, the gameplay remains rooted like one the many background pines, in the second dimension. The animation is fluid, gameplay familiar to the SNK series apart from the removal of fireball assaults. Success unlocks extra characters and modes giving added impetus to slay all. Also known as 'Shikyaku Ibunroku Yomigaerishi'.
