Miscellaneous Hardware
Accessory
Famicom and Super Famicom replacement Japanese AC adaptor for those with a step down transformer who just want to plug in and play their Famicom and Super Famicom. Handy considering the Super Famicom never came with a power supply due to the success of the compatible Famicom power cord. Lightweight and compact, similar to a phone charger. Also suitable for the AV Famicom, SFC Jnr, PC Engine and Mega Drive.
Miscellaneous Hardware
Accessory
A very smart stand to show off the jewels of your cartridge collection. Works a treat with appropriate lighting, but Genki won’t be held responsible for irate partners.
Miscellaneous Hardware
Console
Goodness gracious. A console that can play Famicom, Super Famicom, SNES (both PAL and NTSC), GameBoy, GameBoy Color, GameBoy Advance, Genesis, Mega Drive (Pal and NTSC, though Mark III would require a Mega Adaptor), PC Engine, Turbo Grafx and PC Engine Super Grafx games. That’s over nine thousand compatible games. The controller adapter allows keen gamers to use the original pads on the machine for that authentic feel. Games can be downloaded onto the machine with a Micro SD Card and then they can be taken around a friends house. Upscaling makes many never looking so fine. Also allows patches to be applied to games.
Miscellaneous Hardware
Handheld
Also released as a GameBoy Advance game, this handheld asks users a hundred and twenty questions to assess their character types (and which animal they are most like.) There are also seven mini games. Users in Japan could swap data to a mobile phone too to compare their suitability to each other.
Miscellaneous Hardware
Accessory
A cable tidy for those that can’t bear to see tangle messes leading to the joypad.
Miscellaneous Hardware
Console
Ten titles from Athena, a dozen from master baker Capcom and sixteen from Coconuts Japan make up the bulk of these forty two pieces of gaming history that could give a lesson to some of todays snowflake software. Strider, 1942, Ghouls and Ghosts, Knights of the Round, Captain Commando, Sword Master, Biometal: the list of big hitters is superior to the World Series Baseball team sheet.
Miscellaneous Hardware
Console
A clever, value hybrid console at a great entry price for starting an import collection. Utilises USB ports for the controller with an AV output, the console has three different cartridge slots for Famicom, Super Famicom and Mega Drive modes. Think of it as neutral Switzerland during the 16Bit console wars. Nice, retro Famicom colour scheme.
Miscellaneous Hardware
Controller
A compact joystick with all the hallmarks of Horis authority in the peripheral arena in its layout and responsive nature, despite it being an early release. Complete with speed setting.
Miscellaneous Hardware
Accessory
Applied directly to the screen to protect from scratches and prevent a bad angle of light from stopping play.
Miscellaneous Hardware
Console
Smashing little Famicom clone coming with two pads, AV cable, power pack and the console itself. It can play most (though it does warn not all) Famicom games too, besides the Famicom Yarou clone carts. Further good news is that there are seven built in games.
Miscellaneous Hardware
Cable
Solidly made third party AV cable with a white audio output and the yellow visual output. For use with the Japanese Mega Drive, Neo Geo, PC Engine Duo, PC Engine Duo-R and PC Engine Duo-RX.
Miscellaneous Hardware
Console
Allows you to play Japanese Famicom titles as well as having 8 types of game built in to the console itself bringing back some heady memories. However it is not compatible with every game released for the Famicom system, there are some that won’t run on it. Contains two controllers, AV cable with one audio and one graphic output but the power lead may require a step down convertor sold separately.
