The Ooze

The rarest title on the Japanese Mega Drive and costs a large amount in its domestic market as a result. Serious collectors material with a low print run and being released late into the Mega Drives life cycle towards the end of 1995. Developed in the US, the story involves a scientist who has mutated into a green, blob-like monster and must avoid agents sent to kill him. The aim is to stay as large a blob as possible, through absorbing other slime and through resisting the slime attack - which depletes your bodily reserves. All that remains from your original human form is your fist and head, which must be protected above all as one hit will kill you making The Ooze a challenging title.
