Sega Saturn

An adventure with plenty of political intrigue as the Psycotron technology goes astray being shipped from old Communist Russia to the US of A. Plenty of FMV interviewing follows as the player is charged with the task of charging someone with the disappearance amongst the wreckage of political paranoia.
Mega Drive
Sports
Arcade style play mechanics with international teams, cat like keepers and prima donna strikers. Simple to pick up and play but very enjoyable as a result.
Soundtracks

A Club Nintendo of Japan exclusive brought out to celebrate Zeldas 25th Anniversary and its an anniversary well worth celebrating. All the colour and drama of the series contained in one CD: its hard not to whistle along. Weighs in at a mighty fifty one tracks.
Merchandise
Soundtrack
Mini manga in the manual to accompany this tribute to the Popful Mail series showcasing the fine voice acting talents of its protagonists and making a nice collectable for fans of the game and anime.
PS2
Side Scrolling Beat Em Up
Draws on the Yankee gang styling that runs a deep undercurrent in Japanese society: street punks with distinctive kanji adorned clothing and often close held affinity to rev head bikes. And what a fine source material for any game to draw on. Those Chinese character kanji appear over the fights to add manga style sound effects. The first mistake would be to under-estimate a female opponent: the girls give as good as they’ve got. But before that players must break out of jail and beat the boss: a tough crim which takes a bit of button bashing when the challenge pops up. Has a feel inspired by Tecmos Kunio as iron bars and other suitably vicious weapons can be utilised for a brief stint. As can an adrenalin fuelled assault – possibly the result of too many of those caffeine filled bottles?
PS3
Simulation
Special title capturing the hopes and mainly fears of a late twenty something stuck in a cycle of not wishing to work too hard in a part time position but suffering the lack of financial stability that results in. The ever pressing fear of pregnant girlfriends and the alluring yet foreboding Catherine prey heavily on our protagonists mind as the character interaction plays out with a wealth of mini games. One such involves shifting platforms to climb to the top of the tower and success in these is linked to progress in the special game.
PS2
Sports
Martial arts mayhem unleashed with this cross style face-off involving boxers, kick boxers, karate experts, wrestlers, judo masters and a host of other fighting disciplines amongst the ten selectable characters. Special moves can be unleashed when the spirit meter is sufficiently charged. Bouts can be won with a submission besides a knock out depending on your sportsmanfs skills and ability to thrash the PS2 buttons with sufficient vigour – a sight to behold in multiplayer match ups. And in a nod to the dangers of the sport limbs can be broken by repeatedly targeting the same area. Definitely influenced by the famous gatherings such as K1 and Pride but thatfs no bad thing. gSeconds awaych Known as eThe Ishu Kakutougif in Japanese.
Super Famicom
Simulation
Table mahjong seems to sttract a lot of bunny girls and guys in shades and this anime based board game is no exception. Draws on the source material well to keep things lively with expressive avatars and even some quiz questions on the show.
Super Famicom
Sports
Cast a few lines off your boat with newly acquired tackle from the shop and the screen cleverly splits to the above and under surface views. Patience and good tactics are a requisite but the lovely water flowing effect and the chance of bagging a big bass will appeal to the fisherman in all of us.
Super Famicom
Sports
Good take on the sport that covers the basics of the game well, perhaps being quite a difficult sport to cover with rucks, mauls, line outs and scrums to include. Yet the freedom to run as the ball breaks free makes this good fun as players bid to capture the cup.
Super Famicom
Simulation
Hard to resist a ninja themed game as our wee man dressed in black avoids advancing bamboo forests and delves deep to find out how his ninja clan can survive the onslaught of Nobunaga. Some great chip tunes to set the period and some spiffing techniques to be able to use on opponents.
Dreamcast
Simulation
Casts the pilot straight into the action, though Genki had a moral dilemma trying to down a Spitfire, virtual world or not. The clips use black and white projector style cut scenes as of the War era alongside testing the polygon capacity of the modern day machine to set the scene. It taks a little mastery, but victory is all the sweeter for it with a real sense of achievement.
Dreamcast
Simulation
Bashing big chunks out of metal out of robots is great fun as it is, but even more enjoyable when you have designed and built the mech yourself. Or even more distressing depending on how the bout is going. The bouts are one on one in a Virtual On style arenas but players see more of their pride and joy to show off their design.
Sega Saturn
Simulation
Very traditional Japanese take on the tile game with koto music in the background and characters such as geishas and looking like Buddhists priests, if of course their vows would allow them to partake in the game.
Dreamcast
A Bit Special
Voice command led game in which an array of space critters can be bossed around before they start bossing the player. Experimental and great fun for the adventurous.
Sega Saturn
Sports
Sprite based drag racing title with a rich heritage of lighting up the gaming screen with neon and tail lights. Customisation is the key to getting the car over the finish line first with some decent mini games to supplement the action.
Sega Saturn

Be a winner in the game of life as players progress round the board dealing with the many dilemmas life may throw up. Initially players decide their appearance, gender and type of car ina nice nod to personalise the game to the players character. Known in Japanese as the DX Jinsei Game.
