Here we have all the games in the email010526 Section.
Switch
Shoot Em Up
Raiden Fighters, Raiden Fighters 2 and Raiden Fighters Jet make up the trio of this compilation that goes in all guns blazing and takes no prisoners. The soundtrack is relentless, the in game characters given a millennial make over, yet veteran gamers may fear not as the action remains true to its pure adrenalin roots. Some may even be tempted to take advantage of the different play modes to flip back through a particularly turbulent section. A fine tribute to a much-loved series.
Sega Hardware
Controller
A smart white finish to this wireless pad that uses a connector (not supplied) to both the joypad ports to hook it up to the Saturn to run via infra-red. Enjoys a comfortable 5 metre range and beats untangling cables any day. Also has TV control button!
PS2
Simulation
A Ring style visual novel that works the urban legend spooky story to its limit with some very bizarre going on to become a bit of a cult classic.
Mega Drive
Puzzle
Sprightly puzzle game where tiles must be rotated to clear the screen: much easier in practise than words. Adopts various styles to the game view be it the dynastic classical Chinese mahjong tiles, fantasy role playing medieval style or playing cards on the beach setting. Famous for its small box styling: one of only a handful of Mega Drive games released in mini boxes.
Famicom Cart
Side Scrolling Beat Em Up
Sharp reflexes and a knowledge of when to fire in a fist of fury or a flat kung fu slipper sole are requisites to meet the bad boss Mr X. Ducking kicks and throwing stars in the classic arcade mould. Known as Kung Fu Master in the West.
Playstation
RPG
The painstaking attention to detail and the respectful nod to its Super Famicom forefathers in not radically dragging the RPG into the Playstation era ensured the superb series continued on from strength to strength.
GameBoy Color
RPG
Genki imagines it would have taken little effort to convert this charming RPG to here on the GameBoy Color and later to the GBA, PSX and PSP, such is the visual standard attained in the original Super Famicom version. And it is no doubt responsible for fuelling a series that flourishes on thanks to its imaginative enemies and emotive soundtrack, to pluck just a couple of reasons from its over flowing barrel.

Tao

Famicom Cart
RPG
Mysterious, spiritual RPG that sees players going on a trip of enlightenment that you’d imagine would be a hard pitch for the modern day creators to their publisher. Almost as cult as the content of the game and definitely one of the most unusual stories one can encounter.
Mega Drive
Side Scrolling Beat Em Up
Fine, retro feel to the gameplay in a genre itself that is long since forgotten. Yet Konami made a real splash with its arcade scrolling fighters and Turtles fits its masterplan with quick paced gameplay and the ability to pummel an opponent once their collar can be gripped. Good variety in the gameplay as players go from rusty 80’s downtown to surfing the high seas, catching up with pirate ships.
GameBoy Original
One on One Beat Em Up
Takara shows exactly why it was so at home with the GB’s humble architecture in this jaw crunching conversion of the arcade bad boy. Slickly animated, every character each moving seamlessly through their martial arts routine.
Playstation
Simulation
High school dating game where attending the right class is essential to woo your heart throb. Lovingly created, candy sweet graphics
Mega CD
Simulation
Ataru seems destined for many ominous days as the priest Cherry often predicts. Caught between Lum and Shinobu and half the members of his school class (the female ones) only chaos can reign. Great digital comic game for fans of the very popular anime series where you point and click at the item to interact with. Here’s hoping the only slap you get is from Kotatsu Neko for pinching his Taiyaki. The side scrolling shooter section is a real blast.
Wonderswan
Sports
Golf games always work well on handheld systems and Wonder Classic is no exception. Only two characters initially selectable, but a bit of perseverence will allow you to unlock secret character Chuck Morris who can belt the ball harder than his namesake Chuck Norris. Also rumoured to be hidden in the carts depths are unlockable Valyrie and Mr Driller players.
Sega Saturn
A Bit Special
As the titles may suggest, not a game but a tour of the Evangelion artists masterpieces, all set to relaxing classical music. The art is truly stunning and worthy of a greater appreciation.
Switch
Shooter
Spiritual sequel to Genki fave Kikikaikai and full of the same bizarre cultural references that makes it seem like sheer madness, yet thankfully plays like a dream. One eyed and legged umbrellas await an opportunity to spring into action, kawaii little ghosts seek refuge from Super Mario World, Oni and long nosed goblins look on from the shadows under the gaze of Buddhist statues. And its great to be back.
