Gleylancer & Gynoug Double Pack (New) (Preorder)

Gleylancer's plot involves gamers going on a mission to rescue thier father strangely abducted into a black hole and the graphics appear nothing unusual either, but its the ability to control the pods surrounding your ship that gives Gleylancer its lofty and deserved reputation among shooter heads and why it still strikes a chord today. Gynoug Dark's dank and moody levels, where grey is the only colour on black and white to emphasise despair, has you tackle all manner of undead monsters. Unusually for a shmup, you don't pilot a ship but a winged warrior who must collect every scroll power up on offer to bring down the immense end of level bosses which dominate the screen towering menacingly over you. Another member to Masaya's under-rated shoot 'em up club, and worthy of much more attention; so its great to see its retro revival on the Switch.
