Played as a Prince or Princess (hence the Futari, or two people of the title) with two different shots each tackling the Mushi or insect assailants riding on the back of a friendly mushi yourself. The organic feel to the game is not just kept to the multi limbed and winged attackers; the entire stages have an evolving, growing theme as players speed vertically towards the dread inducing mutant bosses waiting to dominant both player and screen. Sharp reflexes like the star of the Fly film are a requisite to progress.
