Excellent array of characters as Nintendo turns on the style with an ace of a title - perfectly playable with a selection of mini games to savour. The bulk of the story mode features some action RPG elements but the core remains an uber slick gaming engine. As such players power up their experience points with victories as well as the mini games revealing new shot technique which can be added to the player's on court repertoire. Not all the games or characters are accessible from the offset but given time they are unlocked making for some intense but fun rallies. Special shot techniques unleash a visually spectacular volley on your opponent and the attention to detail meets the Nintendo seal of approval with suitable on screen grunts. Overall an excellent package homing Nintendo's already fine tennis engine to perfection.
