Sega Saturn
Sports
Sega Sport’s success sprang from titles such as Victory Goal. Realistic low scoring games are common place between two players. Up to four players with multitap (not included.) Full complement of J League teams and official commentary.
Sega Saturn
Sports
Well crafted kick around with four player mode a scream, although as such unlikely to be contributing much to the Respect campaign. Utilises world teams and the game engine has a good balance of arcade feel with varied goal scoring.
Playstation
Action
Capcom attained a very high standard of graphical excellence on the Playstation having honed its survival horror teeth on the other platforms first. Bursting out of the confines of the mansion, Capcom takes the series in a bold direction in terms of gameplay too as players wander through the streets to the overrun police station and uninhabitable hospital listening out for munching zombies and the irrepressible Nemesis. Shenmue style split second decision moments induce the fear of God into even the most rock steady of gamers as the players plight hit news lows. Atmospheric and spooky – its like we’ve never been away.
PS2
Action
Eidos goes out on a limb to show the Tomb Raider developers diversity in creating an almost Nintendo-esque shepherding game. Animals need guiding back to their pen, but certain creatures will sink in water or be unable to jump adding to the lateral thinking of the shepherd. Very enjoyable and underrated.
Merchandise
Plush
Very cute Kirby complete with blue beanie hat fresh from the film set with sign requesting a bit of energy into proceedings.

DVD
Sing along to the saccharine sweet J-Pop songs as you strut your stuff alongside the computer generated images of Love and Berry. Nice tunes and locales to appreciate their charm.

Fine array of Halo themed stickers to customise your gaming set up or savour the TV show. Great designs from a game that has held its own since Microsoft’s X-Box conception.
🏆Brilliant!
Brilliant Figures
Figure
Charming anime figure to brighten up any desktop only available in Japan as an arcade coin-op prize, until now.
PSP
Simulation
Lady aimed romance game full of bishonen boys who look like they spend a good proportion of their day behind a mirror (and definitely moisturise more than Genki.) Japanese full title: 24 ji no Kane to Cinderella Halloween Wedding.
PSP
Simulation
Romance quest game for ladies with a plethora of gentlemen of effeminate, sensitive looks with long, straightened hair to converse with about starry skies and blue oceans.
PS2
One on One Beat Em Up
Making a very smooth transition from arcade to home format. Jaw dropping intro sets the scene and motives for another iron fisted brawl. A piece of gaming history as an early release on the PS2.
PS2
Sports
The Winning Eleven game engine plays such a smooth, silky game that it would win over even the ficklest of football fans. EA has its graphics, Konami has its refined gameplay.
Wii
Rhythm
An all gal adventure with plenty of rhythm action on the way as the remote is swished around with the grace of the girl band Perfume. The band members encourage each other along and a bit of paper, scissors, stone distracts and settles any tension quickly.
PS4
One on One Beat Em Up
Online battles for your team of up to four ninjas going head to head, foot to foot and fist to fist with other teams making for great tension and epic battles.
PS4
One on One Beat Em Up
A fight fest that stands tall on its own two feet regardless of the fine use of the colourful Persona world is the best compliment Genki can pay it. Come have a go at its brash neon scenes and slick specials if you think you are hard enough.
PS4
Action
Has a real North American feel to the hugely impressive cityscapes and sandy trailer parks in this all out action quest. Equally impressive is the varied gameplay with bare knuckle fighting (and any other items that can be swung around close to hand), gun fights, bike rides and plenty of other vehicles. A real big budget Hollywood feel with plenty of thrills and spills.
Switch
Shoot Em Up
Claustrophobic caverns and tunnels under gigantic bosses as they skim overhead make for an intense experience. A feel of Darius’ organic amphibious bosses and superb attention to pixel perfect detail.
Switch
Shoot Em Up
Happy days are here again with this sublime compilation full of awe and thunder as Taito raids its back catalogue and pulls Rayforce, Raystorm, Raystorm Neo HD, Raycrisis and Raycrisis HD out of the hat. The originals fit like a nice par of slippers whilst the HD versions demonstrate the raw power of the Taito tech heads with retina burning lasers looking truly stunning.
Switch
Shoot Em Up
Granted most modern shooters end up in a screen full of rainbow coloured bullets (though that said old school shooters were never short of a projectile or two.) But Cave has certainly grabbed Genki’s goat in going for a World War style of isometric background buildings as detailed polygon biplanes float into place having caught the eye with a neat bit of scaling. Plenty of on ground action as pilots fly their female characters through the on-screen onslaught. Superb stuff demonstrating Caves rich arcade heritage.
Switch
Shoot Em Up
Back once again after the delightful PS2 and 360 versions and bursting with ideas and inventiveness, enough to put the spark back into the most jaded of veteran gamers, if not a pink bullet or two. Checking out the abilities of online players may just make you want to hide away in a deep, dark mountain in Genki’s case, but the game is full of wholesome Cave loving and sunshine.
