🏆Brilliant!
Brilliant Super Famicom
Shoot Em Up
Graphically pleasing with liberal use of colour as you guide Willow on her broomstick quest for wish-granting sweets accompanied by her fairy friend Silk. Success is rewarded with an appropriately off kilter end of level tea break. Intriguingly Willow gets to select her favourite weaponry before the offset and in game Silk can be used to attack along with the fire dragon, star frenzy or lightning assaults depending on which crystals have been collected.
Animal Crossing Figures
Figure
Known in Japan as Rakosuke, this friendly chap can often be spotted bobbing up and down in the deep blue sea. Just one of the many characters awaiting in Animal Crossing.
PS3
Action
3D battle all out action as New York seems to once again take the brunt of the meteor shower and rampaging giant monsters (but I suppose Tokyo has had more than its fair share of those.) Impressive results from the PS3 hardware and nice pacing to the relentless action.
Merchandise
Merchandise
Sixty high-grade trading card sleeves featuring the popular anime series involving plenty of ghostly goings on. Japanese Scooby Doo with spooky eastern ghouls. This sleeve features Kintaro himself.
PS2
Sports
Puritans will head straight for the Arcade mode with its accurate and unforgiving top down conversion of the vintage coin op. Those less familiar with the original will find much fun and frolics wading around in the Grand Prix mode which features the ability to power up to a massive mobile, or to increase jump potential. Ambulances smash their way through the drivers to get to stricken drivers and there are more on screen calamities than Wacky Races. A fine claret that has matured to near arcade perfection.
Famicom Cart
Simulation
HAL never did anything by half and this pinball game is as slick as they come. The ball is small giving plenty of room to the US themed table with nice touches that can be triggered by expertly hitting the switch, usually by waiting for the ball to be on the tip of the flipper. Tunes that are totally chipper make for a delightful dose of Famicom nostalgia.

Pixel perfect Dragon Quest themed tape showing plenty of Slimes. Looks a treat on presents, not that you’ll want to give it away from your inventory.
Famicom Cart
RPG
Shrunk down sprites in the Final Fantasy style works a treat backed up by some invigorating chip tunes really squeezing the inner orchestra out of the hardware. The quest is a beautiful tapestry as the threads are expertly spun together. Traversing the lands and exploring the towns in this old school RPG.
PS4
Simulation
The isometric world looks fantastic with the attention to detailed paid to it seemingly excruciating. The combat interface is seamless and the action moves along sweeping you up in its many charms. The characters look and sound amazing, none more so that the lovely Lorraine Luckshaw.
PS4
RPG
Gorgeous graphical style like a watercolour with backgrounds that seem to seep and move as sleekly as the onscreen fight scenes. The combat interface is superb and Square Enix has maintained the series status as one of the many jewels in its crown as king of the genre with this regal release.
PS4
Action
Fell of the Disney Fantastical with sparkling visuals and musical interludes to the gaming worlds that bring the magic to life. Seasoned gamers may get the feel of Nights with the aerial escapades and its clear this is a game from the fine stable that produced the Kingdom Hearts series.
Merchandise
Figure
The Japanese Rhinoceros beetle is a popular insect and Sega have this plush tribute that reminds Genki of the special Saturn game Nights.
Playstation
Sports
Intriguing twist on the football scene in that players take a third person perspective view of their teams star man and play the 90 minutes as that single player. The sequel is equally skilled on the ball with plenty of tricks up the sleeve to drop a shoulder.
Playstation
Sports
Combines the fun of pull back and go toy cars with the right blend of driving thrills and spills action. The cartoony approach over the realistic version makes it a very enjoyable ride.
Nintendo DS
A Bit Special
Great fun and very generously can be linked u between up to four DS’s with just one copy of the game. The action is light hearted and varied with Nintendo rarely lacking in imagination: be it dances offs, avoiding falling off a giant roller or avoiding the footballs Goomba kicks at you.
Mega Drive
Sports
Not one of the most famous World Cups being held in 92, but this is actually based on the arcade revelation World Cup 90. As such it plays a zippy game with simple controls and quick turn-overs in possession. Keep it on the deck, lob it forward or shoot being the attacking controls with heading and overhead kicks possible for that moment of World Cup glory.
Dreamcast
A Bit Special
A treasure hunt title known as Yukawa Otakara Sagashi in Japan that was a promotional disk, but could also be bought. Players at the time were lucky enough to be able to win ten thousand Yen to allow them to order the likes of Border Down or Space Channel 5.
Merchandise
Figure
Very smart tribute to one of the famous son’s of Fire Emblem and Eliwood. Playable in the game, Roy is likely to be a popular choice to begin your epic quest traversing the lands.
XBOX 360
Shoot Em Up
Moss unleash quite a beast in this version of bullet hell that seems to be connected direct to hell with its dark overtones and gothic splendour. Certainly not lacking in imagination as bosses utilise their full 3D capabilities to put the willies up players ships having to share the same screen space that feels positively claustrophobic during such encounters. Splendid character design and a heart beat in sync with Akiba culture chic. A real otakus dream realised in glorious gothic graphics.
