A real cult classic unexpectedly of the Nintendo stable whose extensive marketing usually keeps such fan service machines firmly in the HAL laboratory. Gunpei Yokoi's VB was always a gamble for the mainstream, yet its appearance makes it the ultimate declaration of geek chic on a coffee table. Delve inside though and you'll find some terrific titles. Full of potential, shame it never had a longer shelf life.
