Punch the Monkey

Based on the lovable rogue Lupin, Punch the Monkey is a retro-tinged rhythm action game using the source anime to great effect to add some coffee lounge chic. Clips of Lupin's cartoon capers play in the background as players get into the techno groove trying to hit a beat. The soundtrack is very slick too being based on music from the series remixed to fit the frantic gameplay. Ratings are available for completing the level, but being off-kilter to the beat causes some psychedelic distortions to both the soundtrack and clip. Bonus cards also appear on screen from time to time (and usually a time when you least want them!) Which need to be snapped up to get the top rankings. And through a top score bonus games with extra footage can be unlocked.
