Sega Saturn

Here we have all the games in the Sega Saturn Section.
Sega Saturn

The game’s story involves the pursuit of a demon who has kidnapped one of the team’s younger brothers. The team includes bespectacled Westerner Charlie Watts whose dodgy attempts at communication in Japanese far exceed the Genki team’s best efforts!

Sega Saturn

Subtitled Futari, or two people, as Ryoko takes a back seat role for Kaori to lend a hand. Fans of the series and genre will lap up the J Pop tinged department store style BGM and the illustration is exquisite.
Sega Saturn
Simulation
Showcasing all that is popular in these sim games: love interest, beautiful graphics and of course a few fights along the way. The new gaming feature the original introduced was the use of trust points awarded or deducted as a result of interactions with other characters that effect the overall endings. A huge Sega title for the discerning otaku.
Sega Saturn
Simulation
Luscious anime adventure mixing love and war. Ogami return’s from the Imperial Navy to lead Hanagumi and their steam powered contraptions. (Very) Big in Japan.
Sega Saturn
Simulation
Famed for its footage of Ms. Chisa Yokoyama performing the Sakura Wars anthem complete with full Sakura Wars, Shinto inspired outfit with some good backing from the loyal crowd of devotees. The media disk takes the form of an imperial era newspaper which is scanned for info with certain sections revealing mini dating games and plenty for the Sakura Wars fan. The presentation is excellent too: a small example being the greeting when the Saturn is booted up which varies from a morning Ohayou! To an evening Konbanwa, along with a few special dates along the way.
Sega Saturn
A Bit Special
Tanto R is a popular Sega developed party game title that was followed up by Ichitanto R and re-released on the PS2 under the Sega Ages banner. Here we have the third release in the series. Light hearted action and puzzle mini games make up the action which is fast and frantic but most importantly plenty of fun. For example, a towel must be rubbed along the kung fu mans back to keep away colds. Or passengers must be pushed onto the overcrowded trains.
Sega Saturn
Simulation
Set in a spooky, abandoned school; your task is to save the children who have wandered in there from the kancho monster (if Genki’s Japanese is up to scratch!) Goes full circle with the FMV being so badly acted it becomes funny.
Sega Saturn
Sports
Very tidy fishing fest as players cast out for that elusive, fighting sea bass. Both the fisherman and the underwater action are well represented, even a recipe for the fish is provided for those up on their lingo. But no real language barrier stand between man and bass, just good tactics.
Sega Saturn
Puzzle
Light hearted puzzle and quiz title which excels in multiplayer especially with a multitap. Varied action keeps things fresh and ticking along very nicely.

Sega Saturn
Puzzle
Light hearted puzzle and quiz title which excels in multiplayer especially with a multitap. Varied action keeps things fresh and ticking along very nicely in Tanto R, whilst the Shukudai (or ‘homework’) game may prove a bit of a chore without linguistic skills.
Sega Saturn
Sports
Well crafted kick around with four player mode a scream, although as such unlikely to be contributing much to the Respect campaign. Utilises world teams and the game engine has a good balance of arcade feel with varied goal scoring.
Sega Saturn
Sports
A tasty piece of programming making the PlayStation eat humble pie. Crisp graphics running a a high frame rate truly brought the arcade experience home. But gameplay is what counts – the developer’s extensive rally car physics research oozes from every powerslide.
Sega Saturn
Simulation
The course of true love certainly never runs smoothly in this dating adventure. Just be sure to choose your cake early as the developers won’t let you eat all the cakes.

Sega Saturn
Simulation
KID is a dab hand at these titles and this is based at a senior high school as players take on the role of adolescent male pupil trying not to get in trouble with the females students.
Sega Saturn
Shooter
Tank game which has a quick frame rate as players take out other tanks and bridges and the like with plenty of shouting in the background to induce some feelings of real combat and the chaos that ensues. Impressive stuff on a platform popularly not meant to be able to reach such heights and expected to bomb out when it comes to textured polygons.
Sega Saturn
Simulation
Very stylish naval battle simulation with real effort and plenty of skill having been put into the CG sequences to match the films production values. The secret weapon from a crashed meteorite is at the crux of the action and motivation behind the naval manoeuvres.
Sega Saturn
Simulation
Set in modern day world filled with monsters, Summoner gets off to a bizarre start in that you are killed and reborn as a different character. Very popular long running series in Japan.
Sega Saturn
RPG
A splendid, sprawling epic cocooned in a wonderful threads of story. Similar to Grandia except with the camera zooming in on the battles scenes in a cinematic style. The finest Saturn RPG?
Sega Saturn
RPG
The final installment on the Saturn and its a shame such slick design was restricted to a Japanese-only release with the entire engine having been delicately tweaked into this masterpiece by Sega’s finest craftsmen.
Sega Saturn
RPG
Fans of the great Shining Wisdom series will not be disappointed with Working Designs great update. The sickly sweet sprite world draws you in for an epic, Zelda like adventure.
Sega Saturn
Simulation
The Sim series reached a crescendo here with Bullfrogs baby blending an accessible interface with incredible attention to detail. Genki struggles to consider the complexity of the algorithms that must be going on as every little tweak such as to the transport system seems to have a knock on effect. The appearance of Sonic ensures it doesn’t take itself too seriously.
Sega Saturn
Simulation
Just as the name says: being in charge of designing the zoo and ensuring the animals are well looked after. An original title in the Bullfrog mould with some nice animal footage to get zoo keepers in the mood without any foul smells. Just ensure the dangerous animals and reptiles are well secured.
Sega Saturn
RPG
Point and click isometric battles souped up by buxom anime babes in this role player based on the popular anime series.
Sega Saturn
RPG
Buxom belles make up the cast for this point and click adventure with 3D battle scenes that captures the fun of the original anime series. The characters are well modelled and as an anime release the cut scenes are sumptuous. The full voice cast does wonders for the entertainment value too.
Sega Saturn
RPG
Futuristic, self-proclaimed cyber punk adventure. Very slick Blade Runner style gameplay. One of Konami’s finest moments.
