Shooter
Tank game which has a quick frame rate as players take out other tanks and bridges and the like with plenty of shouting in the background to induce some feelings of real combat and the chaos that ensues. Impressive stuff on a platform popularly not meant to be able to reach such heights and expected to bomb out when it comes to textured polygons.

Sega Saturn
RPG
Fans of the great Shining Wisdom series will not be disappointed with Working Designs great update. The sickly sweet sprite world draws you in for an epic, Zelda like adventure.
Sega Saturn
Simulation
The Sim series reached a crescendo here with Bullfrogs baby blending an accessible interface with incredible attention to detail. Genki struggles to consider the complexity of the algorithms that must be going on as every little tweak such as to the transport system seems to have a knock on effect. The appearance of Sonic ensures it doesn’t take itself too seriously.
Sega Saturn
Simulation

Giant mechs wrestling for supremacy in this finely tuned sequel. Carefully select your team depending on the task ahead to dominate earth and space.
Sega Saturn
RPG
3D RPG with clever isometric perspective which clearly says not a 16Bit RPGer. Yet under the gloss with the anime intro and avatars and the battle pyrotechnics, the plot is as well weaved as a plot of scalp on Mr Shane Warnes hair, harking of a bygone golden era.
Sega Saturn
Simulation
Players are encharged on a fresh planet with a team of three robots: demolisher, lumberjack and builder. Players then built tress, cut them down to build houses and suitably disrupt opponents plans to dominate the planet, whilst keeping an eye on your team of grafting robots. Simple eh?

The title translates as Pacific Storm and features as you no doubt guessed, a take on the events of the Pacific Ocean during World War II. The scene is set with grainy footage of the war (and that’s nothing to do with the Saturns video capabilities.) Cut scenes use computer modelling to replicate the action. Saturn completists will no doubt value the authentic appearing, canvas booklet which replicates war time document holders.
