Straight from the arcades, the smart AI adjusts the difficulty to help or hinder you depending on how well you're doing. Part 2 gets more of the attention with souped up graphics, but the original is a very tidy piece of programming - a dependable Spitfire in the world of WWII airplane games. The WWII setting makes a refreshing change from the re-occurring outer space theme. The sequel is improved aurally and visually over the prequel, with little sign of any slowdown regardless of the relentlessness of the on going aerial assault.
