PS4
Action
The Persona world is rich with characters and it sits smoothly (toe tapping away) in this rhythm action game with those able to keep the buttons in the right order able to unleash some devastating dancefloor combos.
PS4
One on One Beat Em Up
A fight fest that stands tall on its own two feet regardless of the fine use of the colourful Persona world is the best compliment Genki can pay it. Come have a go at its brash neon scenes and slick specials if you think you are hard enough.
Wii
Action
Think of an air based Micro Machines and you’ll hopefully be on the way to imagining Petit Copters world. Yet instead of racing players must manoeuvre objects around the oversized gaming interior of a house using suction cups and from time to time unleash the odd missile to complete the challenging tasks. Very fresh and well thought out.
Mega Drive
RPG
More mysterious inter galactic goings on with epic battles supplemented by some useful items to collect. A superb series with plenty of devotees.
Dreamcast
RPG
Only four worlds, yet with bonds to be forged with other players to talk, trade and eventually team up the world seemed a cosy place. Like any good RPG PSO cleverly allowed you to mould you character in your own way aswell as their personal android and threw in a sprinkling of rare items for good measure. Touched on online gaming nirvana for a while, but now that Pandora’s Box has been opened the Holy Grail quest for the ultimate online experience continues.
Dreamcast
RPG
The second and final release of PSO on the Dreamcast improved and toughened up the AI of its various inhabitants as well as giving the textures a lick of paint, some mighty weaponry, improved NPC robots and new modes of play. Touched on online gaming nirvana for a while, but now that Pandora’s Box has been opened the Holy Grail quest for the ultimate online experience continues.

PSP
RPG
Charge through sprawling forests and what looks like the Death Star in this action RPG with the accent firmly on the combat which is now controlled by the player. Use of lasers and souped up swords give players much more involvement in the action. The draw distance is mightily impressive and the whole package oozes with big budget, triple A class.
PSP
RPG
Released on the tenth anniversary of the original PSO, the graphical standard and the speed at which lay revolves must be applauded. Yet the bare bones of the game are very much the Dreamcast version which caused such a stir in the gaming community when the servers were online. Co-operative play is possible along with other, less friendly multi-player opportunities.
PS2
RPG
Pushing the PS2 to the limits of graphical splendour with painstaking attention to small detail wherever you may wander in the Phantasy Star Universe. Combat is not as drawn out as previous incarnations and the controls are very intuitive aiding enjoyment no end. As you’d expect from such a weighty series the presentation is lavish with immaculate cut scenes preparing players for the quest ahead. Enjoy the ride.
Merchandise
Guide Book
Guide to the DS Photon Master version of the game and a series well suited to giving players a few hints and tips with so much depth to its gameplay.
PS2
RPG
Whilst it definitely dances to its own strategy system, those adventurous grey importers will find plenty to celebrate here with its dramatic story and colourful characters.

The saucy goings on of the Pia Carrot Cafe are very popular in Japan and there has been plenty of loving put into these gorgeous figures.

Tomomi was transferred to work at the Misaki beach branch of the cafe chain, but she has trouble forgetting the fun and frolics left she has had to leave behind.
Miscellaneous Games
A Bit Special
A game to help Japanese children learn English. Colour in the parts of the picture marked with the nominated letters, copy the letters on screen and play the letter games in matching up upper and lower case letters.
Miscellaneous Games
Memory Card
Very useful accessory for collectors of the rare Picno beast allowing game data to be saved to this memory card. And it would be an awful shame to let fine artwork or the like go to waste on the creative console.
Famicom Cart
Platform
Another fine discovery from Columbus with fast paced platform shooting action presented to Capcom’s lofty standards. The gameplay seems to have taken on board recent mobile gaming releases with sometimes unforgiving pixel perfect play required. But the boss rushes are like a shoulder massage to gamers of a certain vintage.

Super Famicom
A Bit Special
A Super Famicom classic, no mistake. Amazingly recreates the feel of flying through the sky be it on the rocket belt or gyrocopter flying through hoops or chasing the thermals to stay up in the air. Tough, but any mistakes are always your own fault. Some great bonus levels too. Packed full of ideas – a breath of fresh air to the games industry.
Nintendo 64
A Bit Special
Amazingly recreates the feel of flying through the sky be it on the rocket belt or gyrocopter flying through hoops or chasing the thermals to stay up in the hangglider to get a better photo of a whale. Packed full of ideas – a breath of fresh air to the games industry.
Famicom Cart
Simulation
Early Famicom release with bold primary colours and cutesy penguins to ornate the table. The bonus section is a homage to Mario as he runs from side to side bouncing the ball back up to try and break down the princess platform and free her.
Famicom Cart
Simulation
Very tidy ball mechanics and nice power ups in the shop make for a fine pinball game. The RPG fantasy theme throws bosses into the mix besides the power ups and the levels are themed with gargoyles and skeletons in keeping with the theme. Super table top flipper fun.
Super Famicom
Platform
Colourful, innocent platforming romp from the rink dink panther. Nice pacing and theme to the levels with plenty of power ups and comic twists to keep interest.
Playstation
Platform
Luscious pastel backgrounds with plenty of soothing green in the foreground as players take on the role of king bee Pinobee. Plenty of nice touches such as the growth in size of our platforming star with lots to savour for the fan of the genre. Please note this is the Best version. Disk has been lightly buffed. Slight manual cover impressions.
Super Famicom
Platform
Although the SFC was always blessed with an abundance of fine platformers, this tidy Capcom title has plenty to commend it to anyone’s collection with fluid control and great variety in levels including a remarkable balloon flight besides the obligatory underwater sections.
