Xenogears has a fine combat system in the much-loved RPG tradition, and much as Genki loves the kung fu inspired attacks, a bit more lateral thinking is required to defeat the mech robots in wait. Traversing the game area is made a pleasure thanks to the 3D engine, be it on foot or more efficiently when taking to the sky.
