Skygunner (New)

Wondrous free form fighter pilot style shooter but with a far more interesting game world that reaches near Miyazaki san levels of inspired creation touching on the dream like quality of the Laputa world and the fun and frolics of Porco Rosso. A wacky mix of flying machines fill the skies as the player manoeuvres freely round the levels. Three playable characters each with their own agenda in missions makes for great replay value as the challenge is savoured all over again with a new plane. Loving attention to detail as pilots can be seen bailing out of their doomed planes. Yet the games engine has some clever AI too creating a believable environment with enemies that seem nervous of your presence.
