XBOX
Shooter
So named from the flash of light from the barrel when the sniper pulls the trigger in this fine shooter with accuracy and stealth paramount to progress. Very exciting in terms of building the pressure – similar to the seminal Goldeneye on the N64.
Famicom Cart
RPG
Gorgeous sprite levels and sounds lift this up to rival Zelda as one of the finest action RPGs on the Famicom. But its perhaps the more unnoticed level design that is worthy of higher praise and elevate this to seminal status.
PC Engine HU Card
Platform
Mightily impressive, mega mechs with multiple scrolling backgrounds delivering a titanium title for any Hu Card collection. The players robot can take to the skies along with being fitted with a weapon on each arm and a macerating machine gun mounted on the bulk. These stats can also be souped up through successfully progressing and where to improve becomes a critical issue with some mean, marauding bosses in wait.
Sega Saturn
Sports
Very tidy fishing fest as players cast out for that elusive, fighting sea bass. Both the fisherman and the underwater action are well represented, even a recipe for the fish is provided for those up on their lingo. But no real language barrier stand between man and bass, just good tactics.
PC Engine CD ROM
A Bit Special
CD format magazine for PC Engine users to cast an eye over upcoming releases as well as enjoy a bit of light entertainment. This issue has a date simulator and a bizarre astrologer.
Playstation
Simulation
One of the more popular horse racing simulation game series that draws you in to the world of horses.
PC Engine HU Card
Sports
Popular sports series honed at the Turbo Grafx massive over the other side of the Pond. Realistic approach with plenty of options to tweak for the those who know there blitzs from their inside runs. Does exactly what it says on the box.
Super Famicom
RPG
Captures that classic, regal look that screams Super Famicom polish, but has plenty of its own character and non-player characters keeping it interesting and fresh.
Playstation
Simulation
Dating sim mixed with mech battles making for lashings of mayhem and plenty of work for the voice actors.
PC Engine CD ROM
Simulation
Known in the West as the Lords of the Rising Sun, the game takes us on a trip into Japans feudal past when samurai clashed on the whim of their leader. Here the exiled son must muster all his might to regroup, hold and take back what is rightfully his.
PC Engine CD ROM
Simulation
A life simulation game where you must guide a young woman through her daily routine with great anime cut sequences. Japanese title: Kagami no Kuni no Legend.
Famicom Cart
Platform
A solid Famicom platformer made more challenging (to say the least!) By being played as two characters simultaneously. Jumps must be timed to perfection and the male brain at least may suffer a bit of melt down trying to keep an eye on both our gaming heroes as they journey through Tokyo.
PC Engine CD ROM
A Bit Special
With anime, a chance for romance in Club UB with Shigeko, Chinatsu or Miyo, an interactive comic and a Totoro RPG; theres plenty on this CD Rom based magazine to keep the budding import fan and PC Engine collector well happy.
Sega Saturn
Shooter
Update of the Mega CD release sees great visual strides taken as you fly your helicopter on a variety of 3D missions unleashing some almighty firepower from the skies.
PC Engine CD ROM
A Bit Special
PC Engine CD ROM magazine loaded with features making it an intriguing collectable. Features a love simulator, original RPG, some smooth anime along with an art gallery.
PC Engine CD ROM
A Bit Special
CD format magazine for PC Engine users to cast an eye over upcoming releases as well as enjoy a bit of light entertainment. This issue has plenty of demos, animation and information to sample.
Sega Saturn
Sports
Virtua Fighter style polygon pugilists go head to head and toe to toe in this early Saturn release. Seemingly inspired by the Rocky series if the bad boy Victor is anything to go by. The build your own boxer mode adds that important degree of personal involvement to keep wanabee Rockys motivated as they slug their way through the later rounds.

Sega Saturn
Sports
A real Bay of a thoroughbred race title for the Saturn that spent its marketing budget on its fine graphical engine and presentation. No more likely to ensure your gee gees come in at the races, but a great delve into the world of racing. The Yushun of the title is a famous horse novel in Japan. Horse racing games are hugely popular in the Japanese market.
